Dominic smiled against the kiss, so perfectly placed and so simple that it almost seemed involuntary and mindless. But it was the good, comfortable kind of mindless. It was one that you didn't get unless you were explicitly comfortable with someone. Knowing that meant Jaime was comfortable with him...well it made the healer feel good and brought a broad smile across his face.
Looking over at the dark haired hunter, he chuckled at his question. "I think, after that, I would be a fool to tell you no wouldn't I? After all...I think you belong next to me, I would say." Dominic moved up beside him, pressing a kiss to his cheek and brushing dark hair over his shoulder. "I knew some kind of fate was at work for me to find you when I did. Just in time to save you...and here you are. By my side."

"Some kind of fate, huh?" Jaime asked, his tone light as he went to grab bowls and silverware for them to use. He looked to the healer with a gentle smile. "It's not that I might the idea of that. I just wish Fate, or whatever was at work, had been much more gentle on me when we met."
Physically, the few grey strands in his hair were all that showed from the ordeal. But he could feel just how deep it went. Sometimes it still hurt to get out of bed in the morning. He couldn't run for as long, as his ribs and lungs started to ache. When it rained his knee had a habit of wanting to lock up. He'd aged, a lot, since that incident. There were more than a few times that he wondered if he should have lived. If that HAD been his expiration date, and Dominic had tricked the Reaper.
It made him worried that one day he would just drop dead. That Death would realize he'd gotten away and come back to finish the job. Maybe that was why, despite telling himself he'd ever put himself in a situation to lose someone, he had given in to Dominic. Had opened himself up to face that.
Life was too short. And hunters' lives, especially. "Come on, Dom. Let's eat," he said, handing his savior turned friend turned lover a bowl of steaming stew.

He shrugged. "Fate is a wicked mistress, my dear. She couldn't make it easy on us, could she? If she had, would you have stayed here with me so long?" Dominic smiled, taking the bowl from the hunter. He never much liked the idea of what Jaime had been through. He remembered those days, remembered how the young man had been so broken.
Dominic snuck a kiss, one last one, before having a seat at his table. A part of him hoped that he could help the hunter even more now. The gods knew how much Jaime's existence would help him. HAD helped him.

The dinner wasn't extravagant by any means. But with what Jaime normally ate, it was beyond amazing. He'd finished his first bowl before Dominic had even made a dent in his own. "Oh..." he knew he colored slightly when he stood to get another helping and noticed. "I, ah. Guess I really was hungry," he laughed, running his fingers through his hair.

Dominic ate slow, perhaps it was because of how often he could have a leisurely meal...but he knew Jaime wasn't the same. If he didn't think of why the other ate so fast, it was actually intensely endearing. Smiling to himself once again, the healer to another bite of the mixed meat stew, picking out some of the vegetables that he didn't much care for.
"eat your fill, darling. That's what it's there for. I can't eat all of this myself." He took another bite, getting a taste of rabbit as he did so. "mmm This rabbit is good. You should come catch game for dinner more often." Nodding toward the stew pot. "Eat. After I finish i'm going to run a bath. Sure we could both use it."

Jaime laughed, still embarrassed, but he did fill his bowl up -- though only halfway. Sitting back down, he said, "Maybe. I know I call myself a hunter, but I'm not much of a HUNTER. Bullets aren't that great to use when you intend on eating. I got lucky by setting up the rabbit trap."
Still, the praise made him smile, and took a bite of his dinner. It was good. And he found how Dominic picked at his vegetables to be endearing. "Those are good for you, you know," he teased, and then did his best at looking offended. "And are you trying to tell me that I smell bad?"
But the idea of taking a bath with the healer had heat curling in his stomach.

"I'm trying to tell you that I want you naked in water where I don't have to be worried about stitches ripping." The brown haired healer tooka bite of one of the more appetizing vegetables. "Look at you, telling me to eat my vegetables." He couldn't stop the smile at his lips, he couldn't seem to ever stop it when he was around him.
Finishing off the last of his stew, Dominic stood and walked to put his bowl in the sink after scrapping the unappetizing vegetables off into the trash. With his bowl placed into the sink, he made his way back to the table, pressing a kiss to the top of jaime's head. THe healer could only hope it wasn't too much, too soon. "I'm going to run the bath, okay? Come to me when you're done..."

Jaime stopped, spoon half way to his mouth, when Dominic was so... forward. It was honestly startling. "I..." he couldn't think of what to say, watching the man go to rinse out his bowl. When he kissed his head and spoke against his ear, Jaime shivered.
And wasn't interested in his dinner anymore. He watched the healer walk away with a craving, and he quickly ate what was left in his bowl before he washed it out. He took the time to cover the stew, but left it where it was for now. It could wait.
He found Dominic in the bathroom, just standing up from plugging the drain. When he turned, Jaime caught him in a needy kiss, arms going around his neck to pull him closer. It had been so long since he'd felt like this, it frightened him a little. But damned if he wanted it to stop.

A small part of him was quite pleased having stolen Jaime's words right from his mouth and leaving him speechless. He had given a little wave before making his way down the long, narrow halls. He found his way to the bathroom, getting a few things from the cabinet that might help soothe the aches and pains in the other's body as they soaked in the water. He wanted to make him better, make him stronger...all the while indulging in every touch and kiss the hunter had to offer.
It'd been so long since he'd found himself in a state such as this. That mild impatience, the drum of his heart in his chest, and the way his breath caught on a needy kiss. God he was addicted to this hunter, this man....To Jaime. In all these years he hadn't felt this before, not until now. He pulled him closer, kissing him hard and full of passion. "Mmm...keep this up we won't make a bath."

Jaime pressed another hard to kiss to his mouth. And another. "Sure we will," Jaime said in between them, calloused fingers reaching for the hem of the other's shirt. He pulled it over the healer's head before he had a chance to speak and tossed it on the floor.
He bit his lip, eyes raking over the muscled chest, reaching out to run his hands over firm abs. He was built, for a healer. And God if it didn't turn Jaime on. He kissed him again, hands running over muscle and scars.

Dominic grasped his hand, pulling it away frm his body and looking into the beautiful blue of his eyes for but a moment. How could the temptation of a person so outweigh the temptation of the dark? He didn't know, he wasn't sure but Jaime did. He kissed over the tan wrist and up his arm. Perhaps it was too clichie, or too close to something one would do with a woman, but he didn't care.
When he reached the joint of his elbow, the healer paused, taking a moment to pull the offensive material that was Jaime's shirt from his body. He was tone, more so than Dominic remembered, and littered with scars, some new. He traced a hand over one in particular, looking up with a tender gaze. "Being away from my clinic bed has done you well...but this wasn't there before." He hummed, moving to take aime's lips once more, only breathing out a "Wish I had been there..." between heated kisses while hands pulled at the remainder of their clothes.

Jaime bit his lip, watching Dominic kiss up his arm. His lips were warm, and sent goosebumps across his skin, but he still wished like hell he was kissing elsewhere. He didn't resist when the healer pulled his shirt over his head, watching the man look him over. His words sent heat through him. It was nice to hear he liked what he saw. Better than nice.
He kissed him back desperately, shivering at the touches. "Still not back to the shape I had been in before you saved me... but I'm glad you approve," he laughed, just a soft exhale. And he wasn't sure why, but the thought of Dominic being there to tend to him after every new scar, even though none had been serious enough to require his talents, appealed to Jaime.
The idea of Dominic patching him up, of fretting over him, of CARING for not just his health but him as a person, was something he'd been craving so long. Knowing the healer worried, that he wanted to care for him, made him whimper into their heated kisses.
He worked Dominic's pants and boxers off as the healer worked on his, though he was loathe to part as they both finished undressing, coming back to give him more hungry kisses the minute they were unclothed. He was already hard again, but he was too needy to care. He wanted him so badly; had for months.

"you're perfect." the healer breathed out between their heated kisses. He didn't mean to flatter with false words, not ever, and to him they weren't false. Jaime was a scarred, damaged kind of perfection that he couldn't help but want, desire and care for. the healer in him wanted to be there to fix everything that pained him, but so did the part that made him Jaime's lover. Another part wanted to take him hard, relentlessly and when he couldn't breath anymore, cover him with sweet kisses and words he hadn't spoken to another in centuries.
Breaking their kiss, he smiled over at the hunter. It was a wild mix between affection and desire and he moved to climb into the bath, settling down against the metal before reaching out a hand to Jaime, urging him to follow. It was quite the large tub, mostly for the sake of accommodating beings of many different sizes...but it also had a few other perks, he supposed, like sharing it with someone that was bound to break his heart in the end.

Jaime watched him settle into the bath with dark eyes, admiring the way his muscles moved. And his ass. He followed after him willingly when Dominic beckoned. He wanted to feel his solid warmth against his back, wanted to feel him, hard, against him. Wanted to feel his hands all over him.
But God, did he want more of those heated kisses. He sunk into the tub on his knees, taller from their new positions, and kissed him with a passion he hadn't felt in years, hands running over his chest and shoulders. It was easier to kiss him, this way. And as much as he wanted more, wanted everything, his was content with this until the healer decided he'd had enough of hungry kisses.

Dominic rested back against the cool metal of the tub. There were so many fears that clawed at him. So many worries but all of it melted away in these kisses, in the feel of rough hands running over his skin. "Jaime..." he sighed out his name between the hungry kisses, gripping his slim hips to pull him forward on his lap. Lips still kissing over his, one hand wrapped around, bracing the warmth of the other's scared back, the other slipping into the water, gripping at the other's round ass.
The healer groaned as his hand grasped him, pulling him even closer til their chests were flush and he could feel th pulsing hardness against his belly. "Gods be damned, Jaime..." He let out a low groan again, pressing his kisses over his jaw and neck. "I wanted to go slow, to show you that I care...but you're making it difficult."
