It had been Evangeline's idea, if anyone asked. Not that Jakoby hadn't entertained thoughts of how to convince the new man in her life to also be involved in his, but nothing he'd thought of had been quite so forward. Still, once set on something, the woman was set in her ways -- and he wondered if maybe she wanted this even more than he himself did. She always was such a fan of sharing. Oversharing, sometimes, even. He sipped at the wine he'd brought over, swirling the dark liquid in the glass and he leaned back and sighed.
Jordan's home had been easy enough to get into. The man had left two windows unlocked, and failed to properly latch the screen door on the porch. Not that he'd broken in -- the key Evie had given him was laying on the bedside table. He was many things, but he wouldn't go so far as to break in to his house. Ignoring the fact that he was still an intruder... well, hopefully Jordan was the type to ask questions before he shot uninvited "guests".
Glancing to the clock again, Jakoby grinned. Jordan would be home soon enough. Of course, all this could come crashing down. He and Evie both could have been reading the signs wrong. Jordan might not react favorably at ALL to a naked man in his bed -- and he picked the sheets; cotton, ugh -- but Jakoby enjoyed a gamble. Even if Jordan refused to speak to him after this, well, he couldn't deny the thrill of it.
The garage opening caught his attention, and he shifted down farther on the bed, let the sheets pool at his waist. He'd braided his hair, darkened his eyelashes; Evie had even forced him to sit while she'd painted his nails. Said something about how Jordan had a thing for hands as she'd picked through colors before deciding on a deep maroon. Taking a little breath, forcing up his Tempress' smile, he practically purred as Jordan stepped into his room. "Took you long enough.."

it hadn't been a particularly long day. Work was work. He'd been doing day time radio for the last couple of weeks. Still waiting on that late night spot to open up at the studio. It was fun enough. He was good with people, he had the voice for radio, too. Working day shifts didn't leave much time for his...sort of relationship he had going with the gorgeous waitress, Evangeline. That was okay. he missed her cuz, let's face it, the woman had a way about her and he knew a woman like her could have anything she wanted. Not that Jordan couldn't find a woman but he considered himself lucky that one let him get past the first date. It was a little weird that she was in a relationship...but Jakoby was cool. He was a laid back dude, kinda pretty for a guy (not that there was anything wrong with that, mind you), and he was alright in Jordan's book. Well, he was a little more than all right...but Jordan was still working out a few things dealing with him in his head. He'd been invited to experiment with them and Jordan didn't mind the suggestion, it hadn't offended him...but men had never been something that really got him going. He joked that he could sleep with Matteo, and hell maybe he could, but matteo was probably one of the coolest dudes he'd ever met. Hell, hanging with Matteo, it felt like they had been friends for years. Same with Eva's dad and he wouldn't even think about how weird that was to say. That...that whole community was a bit messed up if he was honest. He was sleeping wtih one of his bros' daughters and that bro was at least TRYING to bang Matteo's mother. Now all they needed was Jakoby to turn out to be Broker's father and they really would have come full circle. Pretty sure that'd make up his mind on if he was attracted to Jakoby or not. Laughing to himself, Jordan pulled his Gym bag out of the car. He was still rather sweaty from his after work, workout. Just another habit he'd picked up from working day shifts. With everyone busy, and working all day just sitting on his ass, workouts helped keep him active he guessed...and looking good. It helped that Eva said she liked the way he looked and, sometimes, how he smelled after a workout. That woman had a way of saying it where he wasn't quite sure if she was turned on or disgusted but...well, it's not like he could really turn down what followed usually. He could have showered at the Gym, he supposed, but there was something just weird about Gym showers. Not to mention, he was coming right home. What reason did he have to shower when he'd just be going home. He could take a long bath in his own bathtub. he had jets. The most glorious, gratifying jets a man could have in a tub. That was just a waste if he showered at the gym. Jordan was already fantizing about those jets as he walked through his hall, laughing down at Mercury, his overly affectionate dog. "Yeah boy, daddy's home. Got to get a bath though so hang tight lil' man." He said, dropping his bag at his bedroom door that sat halfway open, his gaze not quite landing on his bed as he turned to look at the yapping, excited and happy dog at his feet. "I know I know. We'll play when I'm done alright? God and I thought I had you spoiled." he tugged his teal workout shirt over his head. "Eva's making you greedy. Don't blame you though, girl's got a way with people." Picking up his bag again he turned and took a step into the room, and suddenly, all fantasies of high powered water jets and a nice long soak went right out the window. His bag dropped about the same time his jaw did once he saw the man in his bed, chest bare and sheets pooled at his waist. Jordan's stomach did a little flip. it was a confusing flip. he wasn't sure if it was surprise, nervousness, or that little flip he got when he was kinda enjoying whatever it was infront of him. maybe it was a little of all of it? It didn't stop him from being mad confused. He could have expected Eva to do something like this, end up naked in his bed as a surprise but...Jakoby? "Uhh....mmm hi? Don't take this the wrong way but umm...why are you naked and in my bed?" Jordan was confused. Shirtless, sweaty and confused and not for all the best and sexy reasons. Jakoby was pretty, sure but....as far as things were concerned he didn't even think Jakoby wanted something to do with him like that. It was sudden, unexpected and fuck if this didn't leave the usual witty, and hilarious radio dj more than a little at a loss for words; witty or otherwise. Jakoby was an attractive man, and he'd did a good job of setting all the right moods but wasn't this sorta thing something you did for someone you already knew was attracted to you? Wait...Jakoby was pretty chill but also pretty perceptive what if...aww hell what if he'd sent signals? What if he was pissed off because Jordan didn't just fall right into it. Shit. He didn't want to piss him off or anything he just...he was surprised. "I mean...I'm not mad or like telling you "get outta my bed you crazy white boy" but this is...different. Different and pretty damn surprising to walk in on is all." (I'm so sorry if this is shitty. I was falling asleep at my desk on and off trying to write this after you went to sleep ;  |

Jakoby watched with an arched eyebrow, the puppy at the man's feet -- the energetic little thing that wouldn't leave him alone when he'd first gotten here -- yipping happily as it ran over to the bed and jumped up on him. He made a soft noise of annoyance, but the puppy was so cute he barely had started to push it away before he just ended up scratching behind its ears and letting it settle onto him. He focused on him, thoughts running through his head. He'd pick up on the interest in Jordan's aura, but it was a small thing, easily overwhelmed by shock and confusion. So Jordan hadn't given more thought to them, yet. Ah. Well.
Awkward. He'd have thought the man would have at least reached a decision by now, but then again, with Evie, he'd probably had his hands full enough. She had that affect on people.
Looking away from the puppy curled against his side, he offered Jordan a disarming smile. "I see I've assumed too much," he said with an airy laugh. "Or perhaps Evie's blunt and overly forward approaches to things have rubbed off on me. I'm sorry if I've made you uncomfortable, Jordan." Not that a simple apology made this situation much better, and not when he didn't particularly regret his choices. But maybe it would set Jordan more at ease. Maybe.
Shifting, the puppy took the hint and got up, running back over the lick at Jordan's ankles. "I'll leave," he stated, mindless of his nudity as he rose from the bed. He'd left his clothes neatly folded on the dresser across the room, and he moved towards them.
Evie was going to get such a laugh out of this. More at Jordan's awkwardness than anything. But he wouldn't be surprised if she just started pitching new ideas about how to get Jordan into bed with him. Jakoby was a patient man, but Evie, with her looks and charm, always expected instant gratification. He grinned to himself. He loved her so very much, even with such a blaring flaw.

He gave something of an awkward laugh that died as soon as the man stood up. He really was just completely naked under there!! And, well, he was comfortable enough in whatever sexuality he had to say Jakoby looked fairly good. he could definitely see why Eva fancied him but damn. Jordan coughed and looked away a bit. "I wouldn't exactly say you made me uncomfortable, Jak just...Guess this is something i'd expect from Eva..."
Jordan made a face, turning to look at his back. It was nice, broader than Eva's, but it looked just as smooth and defined with dark hair trailing down it. Just at his back, he told himself. His mind was already going 90 to nothing and down corridors he'd not often let it travel. If he'd been unsure about Jakoby before he was certain now that he found him attractive but even more confused on who far that went.
He bent down to scratch behind Mercury's ears, the puppy distracting him from catching the next words that came out of his mouth. "You don't have to leave...." When he caught himself finally, her stood back up only for Mercury to yip at him and roll all over his feet. "I mean. You act all cool and shit about everything but I don't want you to think that you have to be embarrassed or that you messed anything up. I dunno, man I just...you've never even tried to kiss me or anything and not saying that I've always been the kind to get a kiss first but yknow...you and Eva aren't just the kind of people I'd fuck for fun and then go about my business. You feel me?" he spoke a bit faster than normal as the words spilled outta his mouth, his voice a little deeper. He could have mentioned that he'd never slept with another man, and wasn't even sure if he wanted to but aside from feeling that'd be a juvenile thing to point out, it went without saying. He knew Jakoby could read people...to some extent.
Jakoby was going to laugh at him, and usually he liked to be laughed at, but not right then....

Jakoby could feel Jordan's eyes on his back, but they never strayed lower. Either a sign of willpower, or he wasn't as interested as both Evie and himself thought. He kept his back to the man as he grabbed his jeans and pulled them on. He had half a mind to turn, but right then he didn't think Jordan would respond well to it. Still grinning, finding his fumbling rather endearing, he buttoned his jeans and reached for his shirt. He turned then -- after all, a bare male chest wouldn't make Jordan nearly as uncomfortable -- he met his gaze.
"Jordan, I'm not the embarrassed one here. I can promise you that." He gave him a soft smile. "I have absolutely no shame. Something I've gotten from being with Evie for so long, I suppose." He picked at his shirt, shoulders rolling a shrug, before he pulled it on. He pulled his braided hair over a shoulder, fingers quick as they undid the tie and pulled it lose; it curled around his face and neck, and he went back to work braiding it again. He listened to him speak as he worked, picking up on just how confused Jordan was.
He'd definitely pushed too far, too soon. They'd both been very off with their assumptions. Huh. That was new. Evie was going to be so upset.
"Jordan," he said, tone demanding full attention. "I know you're well aware of how promiscuous Evie and I are." He waited, paused; took in the way Jordan stood. Not nearly as uncomfortable now that he was dressed. Hmm. "But if you think -- if this had worked how I'd wanted it to -- that it would have been a one time thing, you're very mistaken."
He finished rebraiding his hair, and picked up the necklace he'd taken off, hooking it easily. "I'm sorry. I'm used to forward partners, and I'm afraid I've lost most of my subtlety. I'll need to work on that, hmm?" he grinned.

He wasn't sure if he was still embarrassed or slightly annoyed. Maybe he was annoyed because he was embarrassed and Jakoby just seemed totally unfazed by any of it. "Yeah i'm aware." he said, making a face at the man, his mind doing a mostly good job of distracting him from the deep maroon painted nails and soft, dark hair that twined between them. "But you know what I meant."
Mercury whined at his feet, but he ignored the little pleading caramel eyes as he focused on the man across his room. "When someone means something to me I can't just jump 5 spaces ahead...especially if I'm not even sure. I need to go through the motions and as much as I like that lack of shame in you two most times. That's not how something like this can go down. For a guy who acts like he knows everyone and everything I would of expected you to know that." the corner of his mouth turned up in a little teasing grin. he ran a hand over his close cut hair, biting a full bottom lip as he stepped forward.
He wasn't sure what he was doing, but he closed the distance between him and the dark haired man that stood in front of his dresser. Jordan stood before him, taller than the man before him and he looked down into his painted eyes, one hand moving to his uper arm and resting there. "How'd you want this to go. Like I mean it's obvious enough what your intended endgame was but...tell me what you imagined, what you wanted me to do when I walked in that door."

Jakoby felt a flash of anger, a vicious retort on the tip of his tongue even when Jordan gave him a teasing smile. "I don't pretend to know everyone and everything," he seethed quietly, but he swallowed down the rest of the anger when Jordan stepped up next to him. He looked at the hand on his arm, then back up -- and up, god, he forgot how TALL Jordan was -- to his face.
"You don't want me to go into what I thought about you doing," he said, a dangerous edge to his voice. "I assumed too much. I thought you were hesitant because you weren't sure how to approach it. So I made a decision and made it blatantly obvious, so you wouldn't have to do anything but go for it. I was wrong. You're completely unsure about everything involving me. And that's fine." He paused, and forced himself to step away so Jordan's hand dropped. He wasn't going to let the man do something he could end up regretting.

He grasped his hand in the air where Jakoby's warm skin had been but a moment before and sighed. Surely it was good that Jakoby wanted him to know it was fine but...that's not entirely what he wanted to know. Sure it could be obvious that the man had some interest in him to end up in his bed, but this was the first he was hearing of it and he still hadn't outright HEARD him say it. Sometimes it was good not to read between the lines.
"I'm not completely unsure about everything involving you..." he defended. stepping forward again, but not too close, not to seem intimidating, not that he could really intimidate Jakoby. "I find you attractive. You're alright to spend time with . I'd consider you a friend, if nothing else but there IS something else there." Pausing he looked down to Jakoby's hands, his gaze slowly inching back up to the other's face. Masculine and yet fair at the same time. He felt a desire to touch his cheek, it was a strange and overwhelming desire out of no where but he didn't. Jordan didn't want to have him pull away again.
Breathing out another sigh he worried his bottom lip for a moment. "I've never wanted to sleep with a guy. Nothing wrong with guys doing it and I don't think it makes anyone less of a man it's not like that just....I don't find many guys attractive enough. I dunno if I'd like it or want to try it. That's what I'm unsure about. I can't just jump into it after seeing you in my bed. You're fucking beautiful, but you know that. Pretty sure I sound like an idiot and you probably thank it's too much work to bother with but...fuck how to explain it...a kiss or touch or something like that. Woulda been good to hear you were interested in me or you found me attractive in words and not just, yknow, finding you in your birthday suit after a night at the gym."
The corner of his mouth arched into another teasing smile for a moment and a chuckle rumbled in his throat. "Your pretty cute when you're frustrated though. Nice to see some emotion other than the typical "I'm a sex god and no emotion exists within my ivory body." thing you've got going on. I like the Jakoby who watches movies with me and acts like a total coffee junkie. Sex god Jakoby kind of catches me outta my element a little bit."

Watching Jordan stumble over his words and trying to explain himself made Jakoby smile. The man was so big, and normally so confident, but it did something to him (and to Evie, obviously) to see him stumble over his words. Sometimes, being so caught up in the supernatural life, made anyone long for something normal -- something HUMAN. And Jordan was human. Completely ruled by his emotions more than anything. It... well, it made him hungry.
He licked his lips, eyes wandering away from Jordan. "I have plenty of emotions," he left unsaid, "Though not nearly as many as you." It was something he had to get used to, when he started interacting with humans more. They were so very loud with their emotions; it made them so easy to read.
Though, he supposed, not easy to predict. They constantly felt, and constantly had warring emotions. It was dizzying to try and keep up with sometimes. Meeting his gaze again, Jakoby shrugged. "I am trying. The forward approach worked for Evie. You were receptive to my more subtle advances, but you never took initiative. We figured maybe you just needed a push."
Holding up a finger, he grinned. "But. I AM a sex god. I can't act otherwise."

Jordan laughed. "You can. I've seen you." he took a moment and reached a hand up to touch his cheek finally giving into the urge. He ran a thumb over a sharp cheekbone. "But you can't fault a man for having emotions that go crazy in a situation like this. It's not a normal thing...not that anything has really been normal for a while." Jordan chuckled, letting his humoured expression trail off as his thumb moved to brush over Jakoby's lips. he'd pondered before what it'd feel like to kiss him. if he'd like it or hate it. After all, a kiss was generally the first sign of how well something might work out, in his opinion. if he hated a kiss everything else was bound to be a disappointment as well.
"hmm...but that forward approach worked for Evie but still took a date or two. But really this is about You not Eva." Jordan leaned in, pressing a kiss to the other's opposite cheek. "Subtle advances are good, a push is good...but you just went full on and tried to shove me into the lake." He laughed, pausing a moment a few centimeters from his lips. "This, Mr. Sex God, would be a push." And he gave in to his curiosity, leaning in and closing the distance between their lips.

Jakoby let Jordan brush his thumb across his cheek. He even restrained himself from kissing the trailing digit as it brushed over his lips, dark eyes watching the man closely. After his and Evie's plan had backfired so terribly, he let the DJ lead -- this wasn't new territory to him, after all. He knew what he was doing, and what he wanted. He'd let Jordan take his time and figure out what he wanted to try, or not.
"That's a fair comparison. Again, I'm sorry I misread. I was too hasty and made the mistake of going with Evie's "get rich quick" method, when I knew those never worked." He grinned, and froze as Jordan pressed closer. Anyone else, he would've closed the gap. But after the rejection, he forced himself to remain still. Slowly.
But when Jordan's lips pressed to his, he responded; sighed, let his eyes close, let Jordan lead. He raised a hesitant hand to Jordan's arm, fingers trailing along his bicep to his shoulder. He took half a step closer before he caught himself and gave Jordan back the lead.

It was a different kind of kiss, every kiss was. Each person had their own way, their own feel and their own taste. Jakoby wasn't the awkward, senselessly press of the lips he'd expected to find if he wasn't attracted to someone or incompatible with someone. Quite the opposite. Kissing Jakoby was electric and savory. He couldn't pinpoint his taste, not yet anyhow, and so he pressed the kiss deeper.
The taller man curled an arm around the other's waist, a large hand splayed over the ivory skin just under Jakoby's shirt. Jordan traced his tongue over the other's lips, tasting and testing them before growing brave and sliding into the warm mouth. The warmth in his belly and the way his arm involuntarily held Jakoby tight while his mouth hungrily kissed the dark haired man certainly answered a few of his unsure questions. If nothing, he knew he certainly liked kissing him, liked the way their mouths fit together and the way Jakoby felt against him as they kissed.
After a moment, he pulled away and glanced down at the other's face. He longed to be able to read people the way his partner and friend could, but instead settled for searching for the signs he knew well enough. All the while, Jordan pondered the other's unique taste. Then it came to him. "Pumpkin spice...that's what you taste like."

It had been a while, since he'd been kissed like that. Slow and gentle, soft. Like he was something worth savoring. He gave himself over to Jordan, sliding an arm around his neck, opposite hand pressed over the man's heart. He was so used to the biting kisses and harsh breath from Evie and nearly all the others, that when Jordan finally broke away, he left Jakoby a little dazed. He was sure there was a silly grin on his face, and he had to force himself from chasing Jordan's mouth into another kiss.
A startled laugh fell from him at Jordan's declaration, and he stuttered, "P-pumpkin spice?" He glanced over to the wine on the bedside table. "I'm... not really sure how you got that, but..." he sighed, laughing softly again. "But as long as it was meant more as a compliment, I suppose I won't be embarrassed over it." He remembered the coffee he had shared with Evie before coming over, berating himself for not brushing his teeth. Pumpkin. Of all the things to forget to rinse away...

Jordan gave a little sideways grin, one that was a bit smug and he couldn't even help himself. He didn't remember ever seeing that slight dazed look on Jakoby's face. Hah! At least he accomplished something, even if he'd initially been so sure he'd fail...well that they'd both fail his little test. But they didn't and he continued to smile, running his tongue along his own bottom lip once more.
"Nah it's good. Pumpkin spice is real good. I like it." Jordan leaned back down, this time pressing a kiss over the man's jaw. It was soft, mean more as a distraction than anything as larger hands game up to carefull pull the elastic band holding Jakoby's braid together from his hair. He liked his hair down and loose, that much he'd known even before tonight. he liked the way it ran over his back or cascaed over a shoulder and framed his face. When he didn't wear make up, it made him look youthful and almost playful.
The make up, he thought to himself as he pulled back a few inches, did make the already brilliant eyes the man had stand out even more. He wouldn't have described them as piercing, no, captivating worked. Captivating because one glance caught you, made you still in your tracks and lose that feeble train of thought. It had been hard not to notice Eva, certainly, but he remembered seeing those eyes the first time he walked into the diner before he'd seen anything else. He had been distracted, unsettled then slightly embarrassed for staring at some random dude and quickly pieced together his train of thought and stupid joke.
Tonight he just looked down into them, letting them take him for once. It's not like he could deny he'd enjoyed that kiss, enjoyed knowing Jakoby wanted him...and he enjoyed working that braid apart and running his fingers through it and over the other man's back before stealing another kiss. Jordan wasn't sure if or when sex would be on the menu, but now that he knew he liked the taste of Jakoby's lips he had no intention to stop any time soon. And each kiss was slow and deep with his hands testing new areas of Jakoby's body with a gentle touch and strong grasps of large hands.

Jakoby wasn't used to following someone else's lead. He wasn't used to being pliant and soft, never taking more than was being offered to him. But he restrained himself; let Jordan press soft kisses to his jaw, let him look over his face. He let the man unbraid his hair, a small smile pulling at his lips at how gently the other worked. When Jordan pulled him into more kisses, he returned them happily. He sighed against his lips, pressed into his hands. The slow pace, the hesitant but eager touches, they left Jakoby feeling even more dazed.
A pleasant fog filled through his head, getting drunk off the slow attention. It was so different than anything he'd had in years, skin hypersensitive to even the most simple touch. "Jordan..." he sighed against the DJ's mouth, arms moving to wrap around his neck. He knew he should ask where this was headed, or how far Jordan wanted to take it. He knew he needed to set lines for tonight -- or tomorrow, or even next week -- but right then, he was more than content to take what Jordan was willing to give.
